• Drugs not prescribed by a medical doctor
• Ayurvedic/herbal/unorthodox medications whether prescribed or not
• Diagnosis and Treatment Overseas
• Assisted Reproduction and Fertility/Infertility consultation, tests, and treatment including but not limited to artificial insemination, gynaecological hormone replacement therapy, etc.
• Sexual and Erectile Dysfunction consultation, diagnosis & treatment
• Rehabilitation other than Physiotherapy
• Physiotherapy unless recommended by Surgeon (orthopaedic and neurologist) or a physician specialist
• Family Planning, Contraception
• Injuries resulting from riots, demonstrations and civil war; or from the performance of any unlawful act.
• Pre-existing Cancers
• Alternative Treatment: Chiropractic Procedures, Ayurveda, Acupuncture, Traditional, and Herbal Medicine/Treatment (Except for herbal treatment at Mampong Centre for Scientific Research)
• Slimming preparations or other forms of obesity treatment
• Dietary supplements except for antenatal care and anaemic purposes
• Dialysis for chronic renal failure
• Neurosurgery
• Cardio-thoracic surgery
• Voluntary Medical Screening and Medical Screening for non-medical purposes (e.g. visa applications, loan application, driving license, pre-employment).

• Mortuary Services
• Vaccinations and Immunizations
• Hepatitis Management/Treatment including viral load test
• Treatment available as free public healthcare services such as Immunizations, Treatment of Tuberculosis, Onchocerciasis, Buruli Ulcer, Trachoma
• Treatment for which the charges are reimbursed by any other insurance e.g.: third party road traffic accident
• In-patient and Out-patient treatment of mental illnesses.
• Voluntary Medical Screening and Medical Screening for non-medical purposes (e.g. visa applications, loan application, driving license, pre-employment).
• Attempted suicide or intentional self-injury or illness resulting from alcoholism and drunkenness or drug addiction
• Costs arising from injury sustained while taking part in dangerous sports such as bungee jumping, paragliding or car racing, etc.
• Surgeries on account of pre-existing conditions, unless after a one year waiting period.
• Transplants/Implants
• All elective abortions
• Congenital abnormalities
• Medical appliances (e.g., nebulizer, thermometer, orthopaedic shoes, artificial limbs, glucometers and strips, wheel chairs, neck colours, knee braces, crutches, walking sticks, contact lenses, etc.)
• Rest cures, sanitaria, periods of quarantine or isolation
• Dental: Dentures, crowns, bridges, artificial teeth, braces
